Born and raised in Los Angeles, Seth Kaplan has been entwined with music his whole life. He studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, accepting the BMI Award, and graduating with a degree in Film Scoring.
Since returning to LA to pursue film* and television music, Seth has worked with notable composers and artists such as Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, Randy Newman, Lorne Balfe, Marco Beltrami, Joey Newman, and Brandon Roberts. As a music editor, his credits span major studios and platforms such as Netflix, Apple TV, ABC, and more.
In 2021, he took a hiatus from film and television music and joined the Scary Pockets team as executive producer of their sister channel stories. Under his leadership, the channel released more than 100 singles and videos, 10 albums, and grew to over 150,000 YouTube subscribers and 250,000 monthly Spotify listeners.
Now back in the world of film and television, Kaplan works full-time as a music editor—bringing directors’ visions to life through thoughtful, story-driven music.
